The women behind Azalea

The women behind Azalea

Meet Chloe

Chloe cherishes calling Sandpoint home.  She moved from New Mexico in 2015. Her dad was a ceramic artist which gave her a deep appreciation for handmade goods. She was raised to value the effort and beauty of craftsmanship. Her mom was a big thrifter. Chloe remembers having a variety of new used and handmade clothing growing up.

At the age of 14 she got her first job at a boutique and continued to work there through high school and college. She fell in love with the magic of retail and dreamt of one day owning her own shop. Her biggest treasures are her two daughters Blaire and Sage they enjoy skiing, boating, and camping adventures together.

Chloe is passionate about supporting her community. She volunteers and donates regularly to a variety of nonprofits. She loves everything about the shop and hopes you do too.

Morning Person or Night Owl? I tend to stay up late, catch me at night revamping the shop windows.

Meet Myriah

Myriah has been with Azalea since 2021, and our manager for almost as long. Anything that doesn’t involve making the store look pretty - she handles! When asked about her connection to retail, she says consignment culture is her jam. “I grew up thrifting, so buying brand new has never been my style. I love that we can be halfway in-between - everything looks new but isn’t."

Our History

Azalea Handpicked Style started in 2015 by Brooke Moore as a pop up shop. Customers were huge fans from the beginning so a permanent location was a must. Downtown Sandpoint on 1st Ave. was where Brooke began curating quality, trendy clothing for women and men. The community loved the concept of this small business. Azalea quickly outgrew its small store front, so a wall came down in 2018, and Azalea expanded into the current location it is in today.  Brooke still is a part of the Azalea family and continues to consign with us. She has such amazing taste for all the fun treasures!

In 2020 the shop was sold to Liz Murphy. Liz always had an eye for quality resale as she owned a kids consignment store in the Cedar Street Bridge. Liz found joy in all the pretty things and ran Azalea for nine short months prior to her passing in 2021. She left a legacy and will live on in our hearts forever.

The shop was then sold to Chloe Jenkins in 2022, who currently owns and operates Azalea today. Just as the clothing finds new life through each new owner, so does the shop. Each one of us have styled Azalea a bit differently, but overall quality and purpose have always been a part of this story.

Thank YOU for being a part of Azalea’s continuing journey.
